Date: Wednesday 16th January 2008
We are sponsoring the MNR event organised by The Guardian. "MAKING IT PERSONAL - INDIVIDUAL SERVICES IN HEALTH, HOUSING AND SOCIAL CARE" on Monday March 3 and Tuesday March 4 2008 at the Inmarsat Conference Centre in London.
About Managing New Realities 2008
Managing New Realities brings together the worlds of health, social care and housing. Now in its fifth year, this unique event enables these sectors to meet and work together to forge a common agenda to produce better and more integrated care and support services. This year the focus is on commissioning and delivering personalised care - a principle now espoused across the political spectrum - and ask the crucial questions: How is it possible to reconcile individual empowerment with community-wide outcomes? Can services tailored to the individual really be as cost-effective as those commissioned in bulk? And how will the workforce have to adapt?
Why is this conference different?
Over two days of reflection and debate, we'll have presentations and case studies on both strategyand on-the-ground practice. We'll hear from government ministers, cutting-edge practitioners, service users and carers. In the style pioneered by MNR, there will be lively round-table discussions aimed at challenging the experts and producing ideas to be fed back to policy makers. Above all, there will be practical solutions and tips that you can take away and put to immediate use.
